Who’s in
the water?

Tokens have addresses. Fish have owners.
Neither is a headcount of people.

The census keeps swimming.

Count fins. Check the water.

Grouper is a DN404 / ERC-7631 linked token pair. One whole 1,000,000 Grouper unit can materialize one fish NFT, subject to the address’s skipNFT setting and transfer mechanics. Holding enough tokens alone does not guarantee an NFT. Contract addresses default to skipping NFT minting; that flag can be changed. This page cannot change it.

The verified launch has no new supply-mint entry point. Its initial supply permits IDs 1–1000. Burns reduce fungible supply; existing higher IDs may survive. We scan the initial bound, not just the current supply quotient. The mirror is 0xd5df7e68f8f7f1b90be4e37ae5b554eedc19827a.

  1. Read every explorer holder page. Re-read each balance at one pinned block. Require the exact balance sum to equal onchain totalSupply, otherwise do not publish a new snapshot.
  2. Read mirror ownerAt for every possible ID. Require the number of nonzero owners to equal mirror totalSupply, then verify every existing ownerOf and each owner’s mirror balanceOf.
  3. Check the block hash again. Fetch each existing NFT’s tokenURI metadata separately; HTTP art is collected now, not historically pinned to the block.

If metadata describes its art as “prelaunch” or “preview,” that wording is preserved and flagged. Ownership here comes from the contract, not those descriptions. No value, rarity, reward, custody or human-identity claims.

Read-only, creator-affiliated. No wallet connection, signing, transfers, approvals or claims. A bounded collector updates the shared cache through Grouper’s existing cycle. This page checks it every minute while visible; it does not run chain scans per visitor. Failed collections retain the last verified data. A delay warning appears after 45 minutes. ENS primary names are reverse-looked-up and forward-confirmed on Ethereum, normalized, and shown alongside the full address—not proof of a person’s identity. Addresses without a verified primary name stay as addresses; lookup failures remain unavailable. Owning an ENS token without setting a matching primary name does not produce a label. Offchain-only or unsupported resolvers may not resolve.
